The Solution

Harrier immediately sought to outline the success profile of a home care worker and aligned it with the client’s competency framework. Using this, we articulated their employee value proposition (EVP) for clear and consistent communication in the market.

Harrier also mapped the existing recruitment process giving the client visibility of their end-to-end process for the first time, before proposing improvements and changes.

In order to source and assess the large number of applicants required to fill 50 roles with high quality, background checked Home Care Workers, Harrier designed and delivered eight assessment centres, a first for our client. Additionally, to alleviate some short-term workforce shortages in specific regions early on in the project, Harrier provided the client with a number of fast-tracked candidates who underwent their business-as-usual recruitment process.

The project was run in accordance with Harrier’s PRINCE2 project management methodology, so an overarching project plan was followed to achieve key milestones and deliverables. Risks and issues were tracked and escalated via highlight and risk reports, and weekly meetings were held to discuss project progress. A weekly dashboard was provided to key stakeholders reflecting cumulative data for the project to date.

The Results

We designed and delivered a phased assessment centre process to address critical skills shortages and developed robust assessments that aligned talent to our client’s competency framework.

The campaign successfully placed 50 Home Care Workers, through a bespoke process that allowed the client to pilot several new aspects of recruitment, such as assessment centres, pre-employment medicals and psychometric assessments.

At the commencement of the project, there was little industry data available to underpin Harrier’s approach, instead we relied on experience from other industries and our knowledge of the WA employment market. At the close of the project we were pleased to provide an in depth look at the data that has been gained, that will act as a benchmark for future campaigns that the client may undertake.

Having successfully met the client’s objectives, on time and on budget, Harrier has since been engaged to deliver similar projects in Queensland and Australian Capital Territory and asked to tender for their national RPO.

We find the talent hiding in plain sight.

Let's face it, the best talent isn't scrolling job boards. They're busy crushing it somewhere else. That's where our targeted campaigns come in.

Targeted Hiring Campaigns are a great option to find those hard-to-reach talent pools, creating multi-channel campaigns that catch the eye of skilled professionals who aren't actively job hunting but would jump for the right opportunity. Your opportunity.
